We go above and beyond in our application/testing of Fire retardant coating and this has allowed to us become the staple brand that we are today. We work hand in hand with our customers and brands, the same brands that use our technology/services to make sure that even the textiles they supply are to our high-quality standards. To ensure quality, we have three stages to our testing, the first being Inspection, secondly Application and finally Delivery.
The brand’s fabric arrives at Premier’s site and is organised via staff into its quality and colours to prepare for the application procedure. Premier’s teams will then sew the product together to allow for continuous application and more efficient production. This also allows us to see the faults of the fabric, this ensures that we have the best starting place for production possible.
Coating
Fabric is then put through production where it is coated. Technology allows us to apply PyroChem exclusive fire retardant with precision, allowing us to have full control over the process. Precision allows us to maintain consistency throughout via laser technology and provides an even application and production throughout where everything is maintained within a 2 percent margin of error.
Testing
Going beyond industry protocol, Premier puts on 15 percent more chemical than what is needed to ensure consistency and protection. The industry-leading PyroChem formulation of FR and consistent testing via our engineers allow for top tier results. Testing is done throughout, lab tests are great however only people can judge how products feel, our engineers cut pieces of fabric and constantly test them for the correct application and feel of textile.
Consistency
The textile is then evenly baked to ensure that the fire retardant is engrained within the textile and then is de-batched, where once again engineers inspect the fabric as they are put back into rolls, and fabric cuttings are sent to our UKAS laboratories every three months for external checking rather than the mandatory one year that regulation requires.
